Hello, my name is Elaine and I have been researching my family tree for the last few years. I contacted Felbridge History Society last year and asked them about an Allen Strudwick who owned Wards Farm at Felbridge at the time of his death in 1936.He was my grandfather. I've been able to trace John Strudwick (his father) back to Fittleworth and gone as far as 1911 with Allen in Mitcham. I have found info from the Felbridge History Society that refers to a Mrs Alice Strudwick (his second wife) and a `bar` Strudwick who moved from Wards Farm to Copthorne Road and died in 1976.I don’t know if/who `Bar` is, but I do know that Allen and Alice had children Sydney,Walter,Mary and Ethel in the 1911 census.
