Speedwatch in Felbridge
Speeding and volume of traffic in rush hour periods are the main issue in Felbridge. A new community speed watch scheme and regular controls have helped to combat this situation. Illegal parking outside the Primary school is also to be targeted by the Safer Neighbourhood Team. As Spring and Summer approach we will be patrolling the lake at Mill Lane which attracts youths who sometimes drink alcohol and take drugs, often resulting in anti social behaviour. We are keeping an eye on the Star Pub and the Premier Travel Lodge at the junction of Eastbourne Road and Copthorne Road. They have both experienced thefts from their car parks. Finally, we are pleased to report that a close working relationship with Sussex Police has been beneficial in deterring criminals from using the A22 and A264.
